Little Nutbrown Hare is on his way to bed, riding behind Big Nutbrown Hare’s ears. He suddenly realizes that he loves Big Nutbrown Hare very much – as far as his arms can stretch, in fact. Then ensues the delightful exchange as Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare try to ‘outlove’ each other.
Not only were the illustrations charming, but the theme was just beautiful. Here were parent and child attempting to outdo each other, not with sarcasm or spite, but with sweetness.
Conclusion. Great – very similar to the I Love You Series, only more popular.
