James Herriot is often called out in the middle of the cold, frosty winter to treat people’s animals. And while he sometimes wishes it wasn’t quite so cold and frosty, he is committed to his job of helping sick animals.

That’s why, when he finds a tiny black kitten in the rushes near a frozen pond, he is relieved to find that it’s still alive. But it needs to be warmed and fed in order to survive. No one thought that the Butlers’ pig would be the one to adopt the kitten…

Conclusion. Super cute. Loved the warm illustration style.
