Soporific.

The Story.

Long after that scary day when Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny were nearly eaten by Mr. McGregor’s cat, Benjamin and Flopsy’s brood of little Flopsy Bunnies nosed their hungry way into Mr. McGregor’s garden. There they found – oh, joy! – an abundance of lettuce heads. In their delight, they fell upon the lettuce, but, alas!, the effect was soporific, and the little Flopsy Bunnies soon fell quite fast asleep.

It was in this hapless condition that Mr. McGregor found them. He chuckled evilly as he placed them into a burlap bag to bring home for supper. Oh no! Will the Flopsy Bunnies escape – or be rescued?

Discussion.

The animals walk around in clothes, converse with one another, and understand the conversations of humans.

And… the rabbits do sneak into Mr. McGregor’s garden and steal some of his vegetables, so they sorta do deserve a punishment. Just sayin’.

Conclusion. A fun continuation of the Peter Rabbit story.
