There is a certain fascination about unusual animals. Their strange shapes and colors – and most importantly, their strange sizes – capture the imagination of children.
One of the most neglected of these giant creatures is the whale. Longer and larger than any known or fossilized animal, the whale lumbers through the waters, as large as many boats and intimidating to other sea creatures.
This particular book is a very basic description of the whale family. Because its information is sparse and because the photographs used are very murky, I do not consider it to be a particularly helpful resource.
An illustration of a man in very short shorts is included.
