Abraham LicnolnTitle: Abraham Lincoln

Star Rating: ★★★★

As an installment in the Childhood of Famous Americans, Abraham Lincoln focuses mostly on Lincoln’s childhood. But I must say, Lincoln’s childhood was a particularly eventful one! Not only did he plow fields, split wooden fence rails, read, orate, joke, and study the ways of the woods, but he also moved to three different states – Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois!

The most interesting tidbit that I gleaned from Abraham Lincoln was the fact that Abraham’s grandfather was shot by Indians when Abe’s father, Thomas, was a young boy. Had one of Thomas’ brothers not quickly grabbed a rifle and begun firing, Thomas himself might have been killed!

Conclusion. A fine installment in this series.
