Title: The Story of Apollo 11The Story of Apollo 11
Author: R. Conrad Stein
Illustrator: David J. Catrow III
Pages: 32
Recommended Ages: 7-12
Star Rating: ★★★★★

As with the other books in the Cornerstones of Freedom series, The Story of Apollo 11  does a fine job documenting America’s space endeavors from the founding of NASA, the heightening drama of our “space race” with the Soviets, the difficulties encountered in the Apollo missions, and finally the success of Apollo 11’s moon flight.

With illustrations on every page, The Story of Apollo 11 brings a real flavor of historicity to his study, rather than an attempt at modernity, which I really appreciated.

Conclusion. Good. Also read First on the MoonProject Gemini, Race Against Time, Neil Armstrong, and Flight of the Falcon.
