Another Animal Ark story… this time from the Animal Ark Hauntings. #noididntquiterealizeitwasghostly

Mandy Hope and her friend, James Hunter, have important assignments they have to complete for school. They’re supposed to be reporting on different aspects of the coal mines that flourished in their area several decades earlier. James decides to report on the tunnel system, while Mandy decides to write about the Shetland ponies that were used to transport coal from one area of the mine to another.

But while touring the mine, Mandy hears the hoof beats of a pony and sees two eyes peering at her from out of the darkness. Later, she has nightmares that a pony is in distress in the mines. What do these dreams mean?

So this story was a little less blatant than Foal in the Fog, but only slightly so. For most of the story [unlike Foal in the Fog] it seems that Mandy’s experiences can be explained naturally. It isn’t until the end of the story that the bomb is dropped and – guess what – she’s been seeing the ghost of a pony that died years ago.

The funny part of the story [which was written in 2000], was listening to James describe using the Internet as though it was this big new thing. Which it was back then but isn’t now. I mean, it’s still big, but it isn’t new. I’m stopping now.

Conclusion. Not worth anybody’s time. [Unless you like reading about phantom ponies that haunt young girls.]
