Title: Good Care, Good KnightTake Care, Good Knight
Author: Shelley Moore Thomas
Illustrator: Paul Meisel
Pages: 32
Reading Level: Read Aloud
Star Rating: ★★★

Once upon a time three little dragons lived in a cave. The three little dragons live all alone, but they have friends – there’s the Good Knight, the wizard, and all of the wizard’s cats. And he had lots.

One day, the wizard had to go away on a trip. And he wondered if the little dragons could help him by taking care of his cats? The little dragons agreed, but before they could get instructions, the wizard disappeared in a cloud of smoke!

The little dragons make their way to the wizard’s home where they find a note with instructions on it – but they can’t read! Can they try to deduce what the note says?

Apart from the fact that the character is called a wizard and that he disappears once, there is no real magic in this read aloud. The little dragons are ascribed no magical powers. Their blundering attempts to take care of the cats are quite comical. :)

Conclusion. Cute, but not especially needful.
