Although this is only the second book I’ve read from the Spy University series, it managed to be the last of the fifteen installments.
That said, it’s probably one of the ones that I will find most enjoyable out of the series because, instead of “teaching” a skill and creating imaginary scenarios to cultivate that skill, it was devoted exclusively to telling the stories of past spies – the good ones and the bad ones. Included are famous spies and spymasters Belle Boyd, Mata Hari, Nathan Hale, Mary Queen of Scots, George Washington, Elizabeth Van Lew, Benedict Arnold, Allan Pinkerton, Benjamin Tallmadge, and others. We are taught both Mary, Queen of Scots, secret code and also that of the Culper Ring. Which is gobs and gobs of fun.
A few pictures of Mata Hari are included which show her in exotic (revealing) costumes. Queen Elizabeth is depicted wearing a low-necked dress.
Conclusion. Similar to The Secret Is Out, only shorter.
