Title: Merry Christmas from BetsyMerry Christmas from Betsy
Author: Carolyn Haywood
Pages: 187
Reading Level: 8-10
Star Rating: ★★★

I really enjoyed the only other book I’ve read in Carolyn Haywood’s Betsy series. [Back to School with Betsy]. So I snatched Merry Christmas from Betsy up as soon as I saw it. And I’m glad I did – it was a little different from what I expected it to be, but it was still fun.

I expected it to be a little novel set during one of Betsy’s Christmas seasons. Instead, it was a compilation of the different Christmas celebrations which are scattered throughout the other books in the Betsy series. So instead of being one complete story, it was a bunch of little stories all from different years.

Betsy is still a wonderfully sweet little girl, and she still has fun relationships with her parents, sibling, and friends. But all of the stories are about Christmas and most of them feature Santa Claus in some way or another.

Conclusion. Read Back to School with Betsy first, or Betsy’s Play School.
