The Hardy Boys take on the Himalayan peaks in this casefile!

The Story.

Joe and Frank Hardy are having a blast of a time mountaineering in the Himalayas with their local friend, Mingma. But then, all of a sudden everything starts happening at once – Mingma’s uncle, Pasang, accuses Roland Swain, a famous expedition leader of having organized a secret, unauthorized expedition up the mountain. Later that night an attempt is made on Swain’s life and Swain blames Pasang. But Pasang cannot defend himself – he too has disappeared leaving behind for a clue only two words –

‘Kimrong’ and ‘Bimbahadur’.

Mingma is certain that his uncle has set off on a quest to clear his reputation and prove Swain’s criminality. Can the Hardy boys help him before he is arrest for attempted murder?

Several references are made to yetis and different characters have different beliefs regarding them. At one point Joe believes he has seen one, but it is later proven that the figure he saw was a fur clad human. The rest of the mystery is fairly tangled.

Conclusion. Okay – read about real Everest expeditions before bothering with this one.
