The Hardy Boys return in a wild, espionage-laced adventure!
Joe and Frank Hardy are mildly confused when they receive an obviously high pedigree peregrine falcon as a gift – through the mail. The bird was sent by one ‘Rahmud Ghapur’. But who is this Ghapur fellow? And why would he send them such a gift?
The boys quickly discover the answer to both questions. Rahmud Ghapur is an Indian importer and associate of their father. He believes that carrier pigeons are being used to smuggle jewels from boats onto land without going through the customs office. Can the Hardys track down exactly who is behind the smuggling racket?
Iola Morton, Joe’s “favorite date” gets a bit of screen time – nothing intense.
‘Gosh’ is used three times.
Conclusion. A fine Hardy Boys.
