Corduroy is a little stuffed bear who lives in the toy department of a very large store. Everyday he watches people milling around and toys being bought, and everyday he wishes that he could find someone to take him home. He thinks he’s always wanted a home – and even more, he knows he wants a friend.
Will Corduroy ever find either?
The illustrations are sweet – Corduroy himself is very cute. The only issue I can imagine parents having with this story is the fact that Corduroy is self-mobile and has a conversation with the little girl who buys him.
