Title: Let’s Read About… George Washington
Let's Read About George WashingtonAuthor: Kimberly Weinberger

Reading Level: Read Aloud / Beginner
Star Rating: ★★★

I just finished reading George Washington from the Illustrated Heroes of America series. And as soon as I finish writing this review, I’m going to read two other biographies which I found in a stack at a thrift store the other day. I’ve already reviewed three books about Washington.

You might say I’m up to my ears with the guy.

This book is the simplest of the simple. It presents brief, snippety facts about Washington’s life – the fact that he worked as a surveyor or fought in the French and Indian war, for example. But no additional information – the trips he took as a surveyor, the role he played in that war, etc. are presented. It’s basically a picture book with about twenty words per page.

Conclusion. If you wait about half a year, your child will be able to read Meet George Washington or Let’s Play Soldier, George Washington!
