Mandy leaves her home in England to brave the Canadian wilderness!
Mandy and her family are visiting Canada to conduct research on the effects of tourism on sub-Arctic wildlife, which to Mandy is the perfect time to study and admire the plethora of beautiful animals roaming the tundra. Most of all, she loves cheering for her friend, Simonie’s beautiful team of huskies as they course across the snow.
But not all of the tourists who come to Canada are interested in admiring the wildlife from afar – some are more interested in poaching. Can Mandy and her new friend, Pani, prevent a tragic slaughter of caribou?
Usually I would have found Mandy’s insistence on protecting the beautiful deer from being ruthlessly murdered annoying, but this time since hunting in a park actually is prohibited by law, I didn’t mind it so much.
A few Inuit legends are told regarding warrior spirits.
