While tornadoes, hail, and hurricanes are mentioned, rain and thunder storms are the undoubted focus of Storms. How precipitation – both liquid and icy – is formed is discussed as well as the shape of various clouds and the effect the different types of storms have on the environment.

The last page mentions that ancient Norsemen believed that Thor, god of thunderstorms, was responsible for our storms but that modern day scientists learn about storms through satellites and radar.
