From the well-seasoned author of Crispin, Windcatcher, Night Journeys, The Barn, Man From the Sky, Poppy, Ereth’s Birthday, and Perloo the Bold comes this lovely little story about a young boy who comes to value education through the time he spends with his invalid aunt.
I really appreciated that Aunt Dora, instead of forcing young Noah to sit and study books she has selected for him, instead tries to tap into his natural interests and make the information truly valuable to him. It is when she makes the whole world his classroom that Noah’s love for learning blossoms and he becomes an avid pupil.
Conclusion. Good – children just beginning to read will enjoy reading about another student in a similar situation. :)
