What ho, and welcome back to Spy University! We’re glad you returned, because we have an extra special class cooked up for you today. Today we’re studying gadgets.

Yes, well, I’m not going to “re-teach” the whole book to you, but I will say that of all the Spy University books I’ve read so far, this one provided the most material for my imagination. This one departs a little from the usual installment, because it is almost entirely hands on. Instead of just giving out information about spying or scouting or what have you, instead it helps to equip you as a spy by giving lots of ideas and instructions for homemade spy equipment. For example, we are taught how to build…

… an alert system

… a makeshift compass

… a telegraph

And lots of other things. Also sprinkled throughout are stories of spies who used similar technology.

Conclusion. Good. Your child will likely want to construct all sorts of gadgets after reading this book!
