I gotta say – I don’t usually find myself feeling fond of fast food restaurants. I mean, I like Popeyes’ mashed potatoes and McDonald’s Mocha Lattes, but that does not cause affection to well up inside of me. But I am proud of Chick-fil-A for giving out books – mini biographies and histories – instead of stupid monster toys.

In this particular Chick-fil-A handout, we find out about Things That Fly – different kinds of aircraft, the mechanics of flight, and the history of flight are all simplistically examined.

One cool fact I learned from Things That Fly – the Boeing 747-400 is twice as long as the distance of man’s first powered flight (Orville Wright in 1903). :O

Conclusion. I’m sure there are other books on flight to buy first, but this one isn’t bad.
