Title: A Picture Book of InsectsA Picture Book of Insects
Author: Joanne Mattern
Illustrator: Janice Kinnealy
Pages: 24
Recommended Ages: Beginning Reader
Star Rating: ★★★★

This book contains brief evaluations of 12 different insects. Where the insect has a unique developmental process (such as the butterfly), social structure (ant farms and bee cities), or function in nature (such as the ladybug’s usefulness as pest control), these things are mentioned.

The illustrations are just realistic enough to be helpful but still look enough like pictures to not be disgusting. :P

Conclusion. Good. Also check out Amazing World of Moths and Butterflies.
