In Sons of Liberty, Felix Sutton (author of We Were There at Pearl Harbor) zooms in on the lives of five American patriots – Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere, and Joseph Warren. He begins by setting the stage of the American unhappiness and the political reasons that led to the war, then moves into ten to twenty page mini-biographies of five of the men who were instrumental in actually kick starting it.
Conclusion. The sketches are not thorough, but they are sober and honest. Children would likely want to learn more about these men we call our founding fathers.
